December Physical Goals
Making some big adjustments for December to account for travel and need to keep my mental health up while in the PNW for 3 weeks.
Non-Negotiable:
Daily Daylight Treatment: 2 hours minimum, 4 hour target time spent in light room. I have a very expensive lighting set up that is very, very bright that I am hoping will keep me from getting depressed while I’m in Washington.
Either- Daily Puget Sound Cold Plunge: Last time I visited during December, doing Wim Hof breathing followed by 5 to 10 minute cold plunges in the Sound gave me a good reset on my mood. Even if I was having a down day, it gave me a shot at resetting in the back half of the day.
Or- Daily Sauna: I will pay whatever price I need to pay to get access to the YMCA sauna or the banya while I’m in Washington. Hoping to get a sauna with Luke and with Ben in and may even see if my sauna in MLT is up for a spin. This is also a critical reset.
Daily Exercise: I don’t care if this is lifting, cardio, or jiu jitsu, but I need to get some exercise in every single day.
Negotiables:
Morning Breathwork: 5 minutes minimum. Play with ab vaccuums.
BJJ: Train as much as is possible and reasonable. Soak up as much knowledge from Andrew and Cascade training partners as possible.
